well, have you??

Do you think you know what it really, truly means to follow Christ?

Have you considered the implications?
Have you counted the cost?

I'll tell ya what folks....this family has:

"But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive."
Gen 50:20

I have never seen anyone speak like this after losing a child. What happened to his child? How did he die?

Looks like the Lord has really comforted this family with such great a loss. Wow!

I could hardy hear the audio. I guess it's my computer.

Have a blessed weekend, and especially Lord's Day.

reminds me of the amazing story behind my favorite hymn, "It Is Well"...

Hi Don -

Sorry the audio was bad for you, it worked fine for me at the time. ya never know with YouYube vids, as traffic builds on some of them they get all wonky.
The video is actually a three-parter and adds up to 30 minutes.

2 year old Bronner drowned in the family pool. I first saw the story/link yesterday at one of my Flickr groups. I had never heard of the "Rick and Bubba" show before, (seems it's just a country radio station duo) - but this "Rick" (the dad above) is also a pastor perchance? - anyway, sorry, I should have left more information here. The woman who originally posted this at Flickr, last night copied/pasted an article in the thread written by one of the funeral attendees, a purported "local sportscaster that is good friends with the family".
Also powerful stuff.

Hi Kristine -

(story behind that song? -I'll have to look that up, I have lots to learn yet!)

You know you belong to Christ when, what chokes you up is not so much the "man" side of life with all it's "feelings" and "what-about-me-and-mines" and all the trappings of that..but to actually see through Christ's eyes, the God side; the one that foremost shows us His magnificence and glory, the side that says God has been be glorified and it is well with my soul. Thank you for that thought through your keen comment.

Thanks guys for stopping, and have a blessed weekend both of you!

hm, I don't think he is a pastor - here is a news article announcing Bronner's death, and tells about the Burgess family.

the shame! giving the Gospel from a pulpit without formal training..

*wink* :)

"Bronner Burgess dies Saturday in pool at home"

Thank you both for the encouragement! Hopefully I'll come up with something soon :)

I should probly do that RSS-thingy (?) so I know when people comment in here and when blogs I like (such as both of yours!) are updated..I don't check my yahoo mail with much frequency, and thats the addy I use for this stuff.

One thing that really bugs me about "Blogger" is it does not matter if you click the "keep me signed in" deal, you have to sign in every time you close the page.

God bless you guys!
:)
